Aim:
The objective of the course is to give the student knowledge of how measurement technology is involved in the environmental protection/care work. An overview of the use and possibilities of environmental measurement technology and an insight into research in the area will be given. The course emphasis measurement methods for physical and optical sensors.

Prerequisites:
Environmental Science and Environmental Technology wished but not compulsory.

Course organization:
The course includes lectures and laboratory work.

Course content:
Fundamental environmental measurement technologies. Optical and physical sensors. Semiconductor sensors and their attachment to a specific pollution. Evaluation of data. OPSIS, an optical sensor for measuring air pollution.
