| Aim: The aim of the course is to give knowledge of the possibilities and limitations in the design of feedback control systems for multivariable dynamic systems. The course shall also give knowledge of modern methods for design of multivariable control systems and experience of software tools for these purposes. |

| Course contents: Multivariable linear systems. Disturbances and Kalman filters. Fundamental limitations in feed-back control. Decoupling controllers. Internal model control (IMC). LQG-control. Loop shaping. Analysis of nonlinear systems. Stability, linearization, phase plane. |
