| AIM OF THE COURSE |
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- plan and carry out a performance where music and theatre interact
- create a manuscript where the music constitutes, contributes to or reinforces the action
- carry out a written assignment where the course contents are regarded and related to current research and literature in the field

| CONTENTS |
| The course presents (theoretically and practically) a broad perspective on how to plan, create and carry out a production where music and theatre interact with focus on children and adolescents. The course also covers manuscript work, stage performance, music creation and improvisations with the body, voice and music as expressive tools. Independent studies, individually and in groups, and 1-2 performances are included in the course. The course also contains study visits, practical exercises and a written assignment. |
| TEACHING |
| The course is carried out with an aesthetic approach. The course includes lectures, seminars, workshops, study visits and course assignments, both individually and in groups. Studies and processing of literature as well as independent studies, individually and in groups, are also included in the course. |
| EXAMINATION |
The course is examined through written examination and practical presentation.
Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course two times are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination.
Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades. |

| GRADING |
| A grade of Pass with Credit, Pass or Fail is given for the course |
| CERTIFICATE |
| Course certificate is issued by the Faculty Board on request. The Department provides a special form which should be submitted to the Student Affairs Division. |

in question. |

Planning and implementation of a course must take its starting point in the wording of the syllabus. The course evaluation included in each course must therefore take up the question how well the course agrees with the syllabus.
