AIM OF THE COURSE

- search, interpret and critically review materials relevant for the examination of the issue,
- analyse, assess and discuss others' thesis plans in the subject area.
CONTENTS
On the basis of the theory and method traditions of the discipline, a problem within Christian religious view is covered independently. The results are presented in writing and defended at a thesis seminar.
The course also includes discussing other students' thesis plans and completed theses.
TEACHING
The independent thesis work is supported by supervision, introductory seminars, mid-way reviews where thesis plans are discussed, and final essay seminars. All students are expected to prepare for and participate in the seminars, in an active and constructive way.
EXAMINATION
The course is examined through compulsory seminars where thesis plans are analysed and discussed, the own essay is defended and, normally, a review of another essay is carried out.

Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course two times are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination.

Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades.
