CONTENTS | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The course is comprised of an obvious communication content with the focus on interpersonal relationships from the leadership perspective. The most important elements in the course are leadership theories, practice and training in communication, group processes and dynamics, leadership styles, prevention of conflicts, an analysis of a case study and an in depth study. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
TEACHING | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The course uses an experience-based and drama communication method of working to enable the students to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of the various elements of the course. Studies are focussed on experience oriented creative and reflective work in teacher-led and non-teacher-led assignments. Lessons are characterised by practical work and reflection on it. Teacher-led theoretical lectures are one element, but to a great extent students also acquire knowledge individually during selfstudies and in groups. Practice and theory are linked in the tasks set for examination. The student’s preparation and active participation is required for lectures, group work, literature seminars and examinations. Detailed information about form and content is provided by the course guidance. |

EXAMINATION | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Students are assessed continuously. All students are required to write an individual leadership theory document based on the course content, discussions, personal reflection and literature. The case study and in depth study are examination assignments. All exam assignments are presented both orally and in written form. Detailed information about form and content is provided by the course guidance. Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course two times are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination. Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades. |
