Aim: The course is an introduction to quantitative production and inventory management and economic analysis of production. After completing the course, the students should be able to use common methods in forecasting, design of production systems as well as material and production control systems. Interactions between manufacturing and various functions within the company are also covered.Prerequisites: TAMS 10/15 Probability and Statistics, first course. TAOP 02 Introduction fo Operations Research or TAOP 10 Linear and Nonlinear Optimization. TEIE 08 Basic Course in Industrial Economics and TPPE 01 Managerial Economics or TDEI 05 Industrial Economics and Management.Supplementary courses: TPPE 40 Manufacturing Planning and Control. TPPE 42 Manufacturing Strategy and Planning Methodology (for I). TPPE 44 Manufacturing Strategy and Planning Methodology M (for M).
