Aim:
The course presents the fundamentals of heat transport and appplied thermodynamics with the emphasis on technical applications.

Prerequisites:
TFKI 77 Physical chemistry

Lectures, tutorials and laboratory work

Course content:
Main laws of thermodynamics. Heat pumps and refrigeration. Thermodynamics of steam. Technically important cycle processes ( steam turbines and gas turbines). Heat ransport ( conduction, convection and radiation). Calculation of heat transfer coefficients. Heat exchanger. Evaporation.
