Aim:
The course is aimed to give the basic knowledge about the smallest cells of digital electronics, as well as to the basic mathematics of it.

Prerequisites:
TNG001 Calculus in One Variable, TNE003 Circuit Theory and Discrete Time Systems and TNE004 Analog Circuits

Course content:
Transistor as inverter and switch (Bipolar and MOSFET), static/dynamic analysis. Combinatorial circuits (logic/circuit styles, bip, MOS and BiCMOS, gates, mux/demux, decoders,adders, ALU, codes, comparator, Schmitt-Trigger, other pulse circuitry (half analog), ... ) Sequentiala circuits (latches, flip-flops, clocking) Dynamic circuits (gates, dynamic logic styles, metastability) Memories (memory cells, read and write amplifiers, etc) I/O- units (for IC-circuitry, for PC-board, etc) Oversight on AD-DA-converters Analysis/construction/implementation of digital systems (usage of CAD) Oversight on VHDL Digital technique: Boolean algebra and Discrete Mathematics (quantised signals, etc), Combinatorial circuits (Karnaugh diagram, calc. of nets; gates, mux/demux, decoders, adders, ALU, codes,comparator), Sequential circuits (states, synchronous/asynchronous nets, latches, flip-flops), Complex sequential circuitry (counters, registers, memories, PLD, etc), Analysis/synthesis of digital systems (usage of CAD)
