Aim:
This course gives the fundamentals of methods to be used in product development and its relation to other strategic issues in a production company. It should also give knowledge about the mechanics of plates and shells and composite materials.

Prerequisites:
TMMI 40 Mechanical Engineering Design, TMMI 22 Mechanics.

Course organization:
The course has lectures and exercises. One major part of the course is a realistic product development project where the students work in teams.
