Aim:
To give knowledge about the design and use of electrical power equipment used in mechanical engineering.

Prerequisites:
Electric Circuit Theory.

Course organization:
Lectures, exercises and laboratory work.

Course content:
Three-phase systems for distribution of electrical power. Earthing, protective devices. The power transformer, DC and AC machines. Control of electrical machines. Power electronics, thyristor converters. Industrial installations, power, illumination. Wiring diagrams, auxiliary power, running and maintenance.
