Aim: To give a theoretical background on high frequency phenomena with applications to radio, TV and microwaves. Methods and instrumentation for measuring relevant quantities in this field.Prerequisites: TSDT 64 Basic electronics and Measurement Technology, TSDT 71 Circuit theory, TSTE 83 Analogue circuitsCourse organization: 24 h lectures dealing with theories which are examined at 7 laboratory experiments à 4 h.Course content: The lectures treat essential concepts in radio, TV and microwave technique and methods for high frequency measurement instruments. Methods for reducing electrical disturbances. Practical contact with radiotransmitter and receiver, microwaves, phase lock circuit, RF frequency analysis, sampling oscilloscope. A study visit to a related research institute. | ||
