	Aim: The aim of the course is to give knowledge of current cultural, industrial, economic, technological and social conditions in a number of countries in the Far East such as Japan, China, Korea, and Taiwan. The main purpose is to study the relationship between the above conditions in order to provide a holistic view from a Swedish perspective. Prerequisites: General competence Course organization: Mainly lectures with pertaining discussions. Course content: The religions and culture of Japan. Japan's technological and economic structures and development The position of Japan in international trade and business The religions and cultures of Korea Korea's economic profile and its industrial competitiveness The economic and political situation of China and Taiwan and its importance for international trade and business. The ideological and cultural profile of China and Taiwan Sweden's economic and technological difficulties and possibilities in relation to the Far East Course literature: Will be decided later
