Aim:
The course is intended to give knowledge in structed metods for analysis and design of digital circuits and fundamentals about computerbased development-tools for digital design.

Course organization:
Education in form of lectures and exercises with practical laboratory works.

Course content:
Booealan algebra Combinational circuits Booealan functions. Karnaugh maps. Analysis and design of combinational circuits. Useful combinational circuits as comparators, decoders and multiplexers. Sequential circuits Latches, flip-flops and registers. State tables and state diagrams. Analysis and design of sequential circuits. Useful sequential circuits as counters and shift registers. Fundamentals about PLD, VHDL and computerbased development-tools for digital design. D/A- and A/D- converters.
