TMMT36 | Electronic Manufacturing, 6 ECTS-points /Elektronikproduktion/ Advancement level: D | |
Aim: The course treats questions that are specific for the manufacturing of electronic products. The aim is to give basic knowledge of production technical questions which are connected with electronic production as well as to give knowledge about available methods and means used in electronic productionSupplementary courses: TMMT 37 Electronic Manufacturing - project courseCourse organization: Lectures, classes, study visits and laboratory work. Several study visits will be made to give the students an insight into real-life manufacturing. Visiting lecturers from industry will play an important role in this course. Course content: The course concentrates on the manufacturing of printed circuit cards whereas the manufacturing of components is treated more peripherally. The manufacturing of the cabinet of the electronic product is more or less traditional and therefore the course will not go into this very deeply. The same goes for the final assembly of the product. There will be a project task containing a current industrial production technical problem concentrating on electronic production. Important features that will be emphasised in the course are: - Material techniques - Electronic assembly techniques - Connecting techniques - Testing techniques - Encapsulation of components - Electric characteristics - "Design for Manufacturing" Course literature: Electronics Manufacturing Processes by Thomas L Landers, William D.
