Aim:
This course will give knowledge on the chemistry of the living cell and some important biochemical processes.

Prerequisites:
TFKI79 Organic Chemistry

Course organization:
Lectures with a concluding written exam. Laboratory work. Problembased groupstudies with concluding oral exam. Extended study in special subject.

Course content:
Carbohydrates, lipids, the cell, proteins, protein separations, enzymes, immunology, photosynteses, genetical information.
