Aim: The course shall provide the participants with knowledge of leadership and governance of companies. The participants shall be able to understand that the process of leadership varies with respect to traditions, leadership styles and ideology. Prerequisites: TEIO 33 Industrial Management or TEIO 35 Industrial ManagementSupplementary courses: TEIO 38 Structuring of Organizations TEIO 50 Industrial Project ManagementCourse organization: The course begins with a short series of lectures on theories of leadership. The main part of the course is a two days' internship during which the participants try to investigate the practicability of the theories. Practioners are invited. The participants shall carry out a case study of their own. Course content: Knowledge of models and theories of leadership. Knowledge of organizational culture as arenas of intervention and as symbolic fields. Assess the importance of leadership to corporate developmement. Ehics and leadership.
