Aim:
The course aims to develop students' knowledge about the industrial economics and management. Special attention is paid to coordination and planning of different activities at the enterprise as well as to their role for the strategic issues.

Prerequisites:
TDEI 01 Industrial Economics DK TDIE 02 Industrial Economics

Course organization:
The course begins with lectures and seminars. The work is concentrated on the compulsory practical case aimed to give a comprehensive picture of activities at the enterprise. The work on the practical case is to be accomplished jointly with the course Corporate Planning.

Course content:
1 Corporate planning, meaning, and conception. Corporate planning in practice. 2 The situation at the smaller enterprise, family enterprises and enterprises belonging the larger companies. 3 Methods for the analysis of the present situation. Internal and external conditions. Precision of strength factors and weaknesses. Threats and opportunities in the short and long run. 4 The enterprise looks like its external account. Analysis of the closing of the books. 5 Market analysis and market planning. 6 The practical case aimes to give a comprehensive picture of activities at the enterprise. Strength and weakness of the enterprise will be discussed. A measure proposal is to be presented. 7 Interview and presentation techniques.
