Aim:
The course aims to give the participants a more advanced understanding of business and economic activities at the enterprise as well as problem-solving approaches and skills in some methods. The course is optional. Together with the Industrial Economics, basic course, TEIE 59, it gives knowledge comparable to the Basic Course in Industrial Economics for I, TEIE 08.

Prerequisites:
TEIE 59 Industrial Economics, basic course for Y, D, and C.

Course organization:
The lectures deal with the theories that lie behind and give the descriptive surveys. The lessons are devoted to the solution of problems and to practical case discussions. A project work is a compulsory part of the course.

Course content:
Industrial market strategies and change processes at industrial enterprises. Enterprise strategies for supply chain management and outsourcing. Technical strategies and technology bases of industrial enterprises. Product development and methods for translation of customer requirements into concrete product (QFD, conjoint analysis). Organization of product development (integrated product development and project organization). Methods for commercial assessment and conjoint analysis.
