Aim:
The course shall apply theoretical knowledge on operating systems and computer networks. Special emphasis is on security in computer systems.

Prerequisites:
TDDI 75 System Installation. TDDB 63 Concurrent Programming and TDTS 43 Computer Networks and Distributed Systems, or equivalent.

Course organization:
A series of lectures and laboratory work.

Course content:
Practical aspects on computer networks. Services such as DNS, FTP, e-mail, WWW. Firewall technology, packet filtering, proxy. Encryption, SSL, pgp.
