Aim:
The course deals with analytic functions. It will give the student proficiency in analytic function theory such as is required for treating problems within electrotechnology and physics.

Prerequisites:
TATM 06, Calculus Y; TATM 18, Linear Algebra YD.

Course organization:
Teaching is done in lectures, problem classes and seminars.

Course content:
Complex numbers. The concept of analytic function. Elementary analytic functions. Line integrals in the plane. Taylor and Laurent series. Calculus of residues. The argument principle. Conformal mappings defined by analytic functions. Analytic continuation. Applications: distribution of zeroes, fluid and potential problems.
