Aim:
The purpose is to give knowledge in analysis and synthesis of electronic systems. Furthermore the intention is to give knowledge in modelling.

Prerequisites:
TSDT63 Basic Electronics and Measurement technology. TSDT71 Circuit theory.

Course organization:
The course is organized in lectures, lessons and laboratory work.Individual computer-aided analysis of circuits.

Course content:
Methods for analysis and synthesis, linear and nonlinear circuits. Modelling, AC-, DC, large signal analysis. Optoelectronic components, LED, photodiodes, temperature effects, junctions transistors, power transistors. JFET, MOSFET, CMOS, (large-signal and small-signal modelling, channel length modulation, treshold voltage, Body effect). BiCMOS, GaAs. Power amplifiers, class A, B and C, complementary symmetry, distorsion. Operational amplifiers. Electrical characteristics: Bandwidth slew rate, offset volatage, bias currents. Stability, distorsion. Non linear operational amp. applications, oscillators, wave form generators, Schmitt trigger, mulitplier, logharitmic amplifier. Electrical environments. Frequency respone, comprensation. Multiple-transistor circuits mirrors, Darlington amplifier, cascode amplifier. Low and high frequency response of amplifiers, modelling. High frequency circuits. Sample and hold circuits. CMOS sub circuits, CMOS inverter. Process technology. Computer-aided analysis of circuits.
