TNM002 | Computer Graphics, ECTS-points /Datorgrafik/ Advancement level: B
Aim: To teach the basic principles and methods for computer generation of synthetic images. Prerequisites: TNG002 Linear Algebra, TNG003 Program Languages and Methodology Course organization: The education will have the form of a project. The project will be given at the start of the course. It will serve the purpose of familiarising the student with the principles of Computer Graphics through an application study. The project report shall be written in English. Course content: Application area and presentation units. The generation of graphic primitives: lines, curves and filled surfaces. Raster Graphics: image memory, sweep conversion and colour tables. Two-dimensional Graphics: geometry transformations, windows and clipping. Three-dimensional graphics: object representation, geometry transformations, projection, perspective and hidden surface removal. Realism: lighting models and ray-tracing. Course literature: References will be given at the start of the course.Assessment:
