Aim:
The course will give basic knowledge about dynamic systems, analysis and design of controllers, simulation of dynamic systems and implementation. The course will also give a base for analysing nonlinear systems.

TNDE21 Analysis and linear algebra TNDE23 Statistics and transforms

Course organization:
The teaching consists of lectures/exercises and laboratory work.

Course content:
Dynamic systems. Feedback. Mathematic models. Differential equations. Transfer function. Block diagrams. Stability. Error coefficients. The relation between dynamic properties and poleplacement. Root locus. Frequency response. Bode and Nyquist diagrams. Phase and gain margin. Lead-lag compensation. The PID-controller. Sensitivity and robustness. Linear coupling of controllers. The circle criterion. Describing function. State-space descriptions and state-variable feedback. Discretization of analog controllers. Modelling and simulation of dynamic systems.
