| Aim: The course intends to give basic knowledge about satellite measurements. The students will also be able to plan calculate and evaluate the accuracy of satellite measurements. The course intends also to give knowledge about digital models of the ground surface, including to plan, measure and evaluate the model accuracy.Prerequisites: TNBI 40 Introduction to Computer and CAD. TNBI04 Geodetic Surveying.Course organization: The teaching consists of lectures , field measurements and computeranalysis.Course content: Part1 Satellite measurements. Coordinate transformations. GPS-Global Positioning System. Geodetic systems. Map projections. Connection to control points systems. Calculations, error investigations and evaluation. Documentation. Field measurements including static measurements and real time detail measurements. Part 2 Models of the groundsurface. Description of methods for ground surface levelling.
