| Aim: The aim of this course is to give the student a basic knowledge of different manufacturing methods in the manufacturing industry. The course will also give an understanding of NC- and automation technology and manufacturing systems. The last part of the course deals with developement and trends within manufacturing.Prerequisites: Suitable previous knowledge are courses in solid mechanics, mechanics, engineering materials, materials and transport flows, production economics, industrial management and production planning.Course organization: The education will be given as lectures, lessons and laborations. Course content: Lectures: - Introduction, casting and nontraditional manufacturing processes. - Material removal processes. - Forming and shaping processes. - NC- and automation technology. - NC-programming. - Manufacturing systems and trends. - Developement tendencies (Monitoring and control of manufacturing processes). Lessons: The lessons will be devoted to NC-programming and a exercise before the second laboration. Laborations: Two laborations were the students will produce a detail by the use of a lathe are included in the course. The first laboration consists of manual turning. The second laboration is based on a CNC-program produced at the lessonexercise. Course literature: The literature is titled; "Kompendium i Produktionsteknik för Ie4" and it is written in Swedish. | ||
