Aim:
To give the students basic knowledge about how the motion of an aeroplane is moddeled and analyzed, in particular with respect to stability.

Course organization:
36 h lectures, 12 h lessons, 4 h help with coputer assignment.

Course content:
Introduction to fluid mechanics and aerodynamics, the concept of an inertial system, transformation of coordinate systems, the inertia tensor, Corioli's equation, the Euler angles, the equations of motion in axes attached to the aeroplane, aerodynamic forces, linearized equations of motion, the concept of dynamic stability, longitudinal modes, lateral modes, handling qualitites, automatic Control.
