| Aim: The aim of this course is to render the students aware of the importance of good communication and to train and increase writing proficiency, especially regarding technical prose, as well as oral presentation.Prerequisites: Requisite general qualifications for university.Course organization: The course consists of 4 lecture, 4 lesson and 10 seminar hours and is given in connection with a project-oriented course. In relation to the latter course a report is carried out which will be discussed here with regard to disposition and language. Course content: Introduction. The engineer«s role as a communicator. Analysis of and adaptation to receivers. Written presentation. Linguistic and formal aspects of technical documents: instructions, reports and descriptions. Discussions of examples and on students of technology's own program documents. Oral presentation. How to prepare and execute an oral presentation. Exercises in oral presentation.
