Aim: The objective is to - give basic knowledge about how to achieve correct measurments - give an overview of principles and methods of modern measurement technology with an emphasis on environmental measurements - give knowledge about the main measurement methods in technical biology.Prerequisites: TSDT63 Circuit theory and measurement technology. Former courses in physics, chemistry and biology.Course organization: Lectures, experiments and demonstrations.Course content: Theory of measurements. Measurement quality, calibration, traceability. Correct handling of measurement data, errors, uncertainties of type A and B. Integrated measurement systems, signalhandling, computer in measurements. Environmental mesurement methods in air, water and soil. Biological methods. Optical methods and semiconductor sensors. Evalution of data, neutral networks, multisensing, different techniques for sensor fusion. On-line and off-line methods for physical, chemincal and biological methods.
