	Aim: When measuring physical quantities sensors are used.A sensor is a device that transforms a non-electrical quantity to an electrical. Every sensor utilizes a physical phenomenon. To understand properties of different sensors requires knowledge of the physical principle that gives the electric signal.The aim of the course is to treat physical phenomena that are used in sensors. Another aim is to prepare students that intend to take the course "Measurement technology - theory and application". Prerequisites: TFEI70 Electrical measurements Supplementary courses: TFMÄ31 Measurement Technology - theory and application Course organization: Lectures and demonstrations. Course content: Physical phenomena utilized for measuring temperature, pressure, flow, strain, force, vibrations, position, light, sound,... Course literature: Annonunced at start of course.
