Aim:
The value of purchased raw material, components and services often stands for more than 50 % of a company«s turnover. This, together with high demands om cost efficiency in the material flow, shorter product life cycles and increasing internationalisation leads to higher demands for competence within the purchasing function arises.

Prerequisites:
TETS 01 Basic Logistics M or TETS07 Basic Logistics I TEIE94 Civil and commercial Law I or TEIE97 Civil and commercial Law M

Course content:
Roles of purchasing (rationalisation, resource coordination, supplier relations) Purchasing strategy (supplier evolution, purchasing organisation, purchasing structure) International purchasing (search for supplier, offset business, cultural differences) Purchasing law (public purchase, standard contracts, incoterms, documentary credits) Negotiation techniques (strategy and tactics, management, follow-up)
