Aim:
The course aims to give to the students: - orientation about general conditions and activities at the enterprise. - insights in accounting and reporting - skills in economic assessment and calculation - knowledge about financing at the enterprise.

TEIE58 Industrial Economics, advanced course.

Course organization:
The lectures deal with the theories that lie behind and give the descriptive surveys. The lessons are devoted to the solution of problems and to practical case discussions.

Course content:
Accounting. Charts and double entry bookkeeping. Account and fiscal legislation. Analysis of annual report. Analysis of balance sheet and profit and loss account. Budgeting and cost reporting. Economic assessment. Meaning of cost and receipts. Prime cost and direct cost calculation. Investment calculations. Financing. Finance markets. Risk and yield. Various financial instruments and their evoluation.

TEN 1A written examination which can be partly replaced with PRA 1 by the examiner.
PRA1A voluntary practical case assignment that must be solved by the group.
Course language is Swedish.
