MOLECULAR ELECTRONICS AND SYSTEMS DESIGN

Aim

The aim of the Master's Programme is to give students excellent skills in design and production of molecular electronics as well as in traditional electronics system design with an emphasis on high frequency (>GHz) technology. The students will obtain general engineering skills such as project management, statistical process control and experimental design, and technical English. The students should upon completion of the programme be well prepared for a career as a product developer in the traditional electronics industry and in companies developing organic electronic applications.

Composition of the Programme

The programme consists of 1,5 years (3 semesters) of course work and a Master's Thesis (0,5 years), and starts in January each year.

The Content of the Programme

The syllabus for the programme may vary from year to year, but the main structure remains. There are certain possibilities for students to exchange courses (for example if a student in previous studies has read a course that corresponds to a course within the program) or add courses after consulting the programme director, and decision in the Board of Studies.

The programme begins with courses in analog/digital electronics design and introductory molecular physics and organic electronics. More advanced courses on electronics design and organic electronics then follow, see the currciculum.
