Aim: The aim with the course is to give a base for further studies in electrotechnics. More specifically the aim is: - to give knowledge and ability in traditional AC- and DC- circuit theory - to give knowledge i elementary amplifier technology and ability - to analyse electrical circuits containing diods and transistors - to give basic knowledge and ability in measurement technology. Prerequisites: TATM 35 Calculus I, TATM 13 Linear Algebra IIICourse organization: The course cosists of lecturs and, in connection with these, exercises and laboratory work.Course content: Components and elements: Resistor, capacitor, inductor, diods, bipolar- och FET-transistors. Ideal models. Voltage sources, current sources. Dependent sources. Theory for direct current: Ohms law, Kirchhoff laws. Series and parallelconnection, current and voltage devider circuits. Mesh-current and node-voltage analysis. Superposition. Reciprocity. Théveninīs theorem. Nortonīs theorem. Delta-to-Y-transformations. Linearity, Non-linear circuits. Sinusoidal steady-state analysis: Phasor diagram. Phasors. Impedance and admittance. Mutual inductance, transformers. Power. Resonance circuits. Maximum power transfer. Introduciton to filters. Bridges.Introduction to Fourier series analysis of signlas. Introduction to amplifier technology: The trasistor as a switch and as an amplifier. Q-point and small-signal analysis of commom-emitter and emitter-follower configurations. Differential amplifier. Operational amplifier, basic principles.
