TNDE59 Signal Processing, 5 p (sw)

Aim:
The course shall give basic knowledge in signal processing. This knowledge is then to be a plattform for futher studies of the applied parts of signal processing. You will be able to calculate different typs of time-discrete filters and understand in what way a linear systems works.

Prerequisites:
Knowledge equivalent with TNDE 24 transformer. The course Matlab for Ingeneers.

Course organization:
Lectures, exercises and laboratory work.

Course content:
Time-domain analyses. Analyses of signals i the frequency domain, Fourirseries, the Foriertransform, the z-transform, the Laplacetransform. Transfer function. The Discrete Fourier Transform and the FFT algoritm. Applications of the Discrete Fourier transform. Emphasis are made on using Matlab as a tool for calculations and for simulation.

Lynn, Paul A och Fuerst, Wolfgang Introductory Digital Signal Processing. Whiley and Sons.

Course language is swedish.
