| Aim: The aim of this course is to give knowledge about the steps in a manufacturing process and a deepened knowledge about implementations in the mechanical industry, such as computer controlled manufacturing- and handling-equipment and the condition for utilization of this equipment. The course will also give basic knowledge about computer aided process planning.Prerequisites: Production Engineering M or equivalentSupplementary courses: Manufacturing SystemsCourse organization: Teaching in form of lectures, lessons, grouplessons and laborations. A project is also included in the course and is solved by groups. Course content: Manufacturing process. CAD/CAM. Monitoring systems for machine tool; construction and use. Standards of computer controlled systems. Datacommunication. Industrial robots. Computer aided process planning. Course literature: Modern produktionsteknik, del 2, and complementary literature published by Produktionsteknik, IKP, LiTH. | ||
