| Aim: The aim of the course is to give knowledge about flexible manufacturing systems where the machining methods, production machine tools, handling equipment, control systems and computer systems are used in an integrated way. Interaction between man and machine are discussed in the section of human aspects.Prerequisites: TMPT 32 Production Engineering, 5 points, TMPT 63 Computerized Manufacturing Equipment, 4pointsCourse organization: The course consists of lectures, seminars, educational study visit and laboratory work. Course content: - FMS - system concept - Organization of manufacturing - Economy and cost calculation of investment - Interaction between man and machine - Material handling equipment used in FMS - Productivity in FMS - Simulation of FMS - Tool Management Course literature: Compendium and lab. instructions produced by the Division of Production Engineering, LiTH. | ||
