TMPS04 | Robot Technology, 5 p (sw) /Robotteknik/ Advancement level: C | |
Aim: The course shall give knowledge of the construction of a robot, the sensor technique and the programming technique. The kinematics and the dynamics of the industrial robot play a main role. The course shall also give knowledge of the development in the field of sensors and of modern technques for programming of systems based upon graphic modelling/simulation.Prerequisites: The basic courses in the masters engineering programmes. (Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics, Programming and Electrical Engineering).Course organization: Type of teaching is lectures and laboratory work. A greater modelling task will be performed on a portable computer using the programs Mathematic and Matlab.Course content: The development of manipulators, industrial robots and robots. The distribution of robots within different sectors of trade and industry. Development of the diffusion of robots into different sectors in industry. Development trends in robot technology. Robot kinematics, Drive train for robots, Control of robots, Explicit and implicit programming of robots, Robot oriented, object oriented and goal oriented programming. Programming with graphic simulation of the robot and workcell. Force/torque-sensors, tactile sensors and robot vision AI-applications and research in the robot technology field.Course literature: Craig, J.J.: Robotics, Mechanics and Control, Addison-Wesley Publishing Company Inc.
