| Aim: Integrated project aiming at developing the students ability to apply knowledge achieved in earlier materials/solid mechanics courses to solve problems industrial or research related problems. Examples of important skills are use of technical and scientific sources of information and modern laboratory equipmnent. Important skills are also ability to plan, manage and report the results from the project in written form. Prerequisites: Basic knowledge in the choosen area.Course organization: The projec is run as traditional project including tutorials and seminars.Course content: Student groups are formed together with the examiner and a suitable problem is choosen. The project work starts with a literature review and continues with problem soving int hte form of calculations and experiments. The findings are reported in a written form and presented at a seminar.Course literature: Supplied written material and relevant articles from the literature. | ||
