| Aim: The course aims to strengthen and develop students' basic skills in and knowledge of the French language before they go on to the technical language.Prerequisites: French as a second foreign language or equivalent.Course organization: The course consists of lectures, classes, group tuition (pronunciation, oral proficiency), seminars, oral and written reports.Course content: Review and in-depth studies of accidence, word-formation, and basic syntactic structures. (Grammar I) A systematic study of French phonetics and prosody with exercises. (Pronunciation theory) Reading of texts with the focus on vocabulary basic and general technical..
