| Aim: To give a theoretical background on high frequency phenomena with applications to radio, TV and microwaves. Methods and instrumentation for measuring relevant quantities in this field.Prerequisites: Basic electronics and Measurement Technology, Circuit theory, Analogue circuits.Course organization: Lectures and laboratory experiments.Course content: The lectures treat essential concepts in radio, TV and microwave technique and methods for high frequency measurement instruments. Methods for reducing electrical disturbances. Practical contact with radiotransmitter and receiver, microwaves, phase lock circuit, RF frequency analysis, sampling oscilloscope. A study visit to a related research institute.Course literature: P.H. Young: Electric communication techniques (Prentice Hall). Instructions for experimental work. | ||
