| Aim: To provide knowledge of how to measure electrical and non-electrical quantities, give some practical experience in handling common electric measurement instrumentation including measurement computers, and awareness of problems connected with measurements.Prerequisites: TSDT64 Basic Electronics and Measurement TechnologySupplementary courses: TFMT02 Computers in measurements, TFMT03 Sensor technology, TFMT06 Contemporary Sensor SystemsCourse organization: Lectures that partly deal with general measurement technology and partly some specific items concerning the laboratory part. Continuous examination by question/problems after each experiment. A written report on one of the experiments in cooperation with the course TGTY80 Swedish for Science and Technology.Course content: The course is mainly experimental with the objective to make contact with measurements and connected problems. Some concepts: Principles of digital voltmeters, digital oscilloscopes, computers and measurements (GPIB, LabView), sensors, transmitters, components in a measurement system, electrical disturbancies, calibration.Course literature: Compendium and Instructions for experimental work. | ||
