| Aim: The aim of the course is to provide the students with a more advanced knowledge in neurobiology. The course intends to focus on recent research within the field of neurobiology and to overview methods available for studies of the nervous system.Course organization: The course consists of lectures, practical demonstrations, tutorial groups and writing of an essay.Course content: Lectures are planned to focus on ongoing research in different areas of the field of neurobiology and the demonstrations will overview different neurobiological methods. Recent scientific publications will be the basis for the discussions in tutorial groups and here the students will have the possibility to choose areas of interest. Examples of different areas: development of the nervous system, how can neurodegenerative illness give information about the healthy brain, which areas in the brain are affected by different drugs, what is known about the development of language. | ||
