Aim: To teach students the foundations of sinlge-variable analysis. Prerequisites: Admission to the course requires, as well as general university entrance requirements, secondary school matematics E (or equivalent). Course organization: Lectures and problem classes.Course content: The concept of function. The elementary functions. Limits. Continuity. Derivatives. Mean value theorem. Extremal values. Graph sketching. The Riemann integral.Techniques of integration. Area, arc length. Taylor's formula. Generalized integrals and numerical series. Power series. Ordinary differential equations.
