Aim: The course gives the participants a theoretical overview on mathematical methods and practical skills for applications in fields lika wave physics, optics, quantum mechanics and solid state physics.Prerequisites: NFYC51 Mathematical Methods of Physics, part ICourse organization: Lectures, exercises and problem solving.Course content: Analytical functions and calculus of residues. Application of the theory in calculating special integrals. Special functions. Gamma function and Beta function. Hermite function. Laguerre functions. Hypergeometric functions. Fourier series.
