| Aim: To give knowledge about the most important physical processes in earth crust, the oceans and the atmosphere.Prerequisites: Basic courses in physics studied, 20 points (NFYA31, NFYA32 and NFYA 33).Supplementary courses: NFYB 46, Astronomy.Course organization: The teaching consists of lecturing and tutorials in connection with experimental work.Course content: The construction of the earth crust. Plate tectonics. Movements of the plates. Earthquakes. Vulcanos. Magnetic fields. Northern lights. The physical properties of the ocean. Ocean streams. The composition and dynamics of the stratum of air. Clouds and precipitation of atmosphere. Greenhouse effect.
