Aim: The course should give skill in analysis and construction of digital electronic devices and systems used for storage and manipulation of both digital and analog data.Prerequisites: 3 years of mathematics (E) and physics N,T (or equivalent) both lowest degree 3Supplementary courses: NFYA10 Analog electronicsCourse organization: Lessons and laboratory experiments.Course content: Logic functions and Boolean algebra. Combinatorial circuits. Sequential circuits. Families of circuits: TTL, ECL, PMOS, NMOS CMOS etc. Interface. Digital/analog converters and analog/digital converters. S/H-circuits. Semiconductor memories: RAM, ROM, PROM. Programmable logic devices. Binary arithmetic. Computer architecture. Microprocessors and microprocessor applications. Assembler programming. RISC-computers. Course literature: Schilling and Belove: Electronic Circuits. Off-prints and laboratory instructions. |
