Aim:
The course offers knowledge regarding transmission of information, in particula digital information and digital methods.

Prerequisites:
TSIT 66 Signalteory D.

Course content:
Introduction: definitions, the problem, mathematical models and tools, measures of cost and performance. The vector model: base functions, signal space, optimal receiver, probability of error. Pulse Amplitude Modulation: spectral density, intersymbol interference, the Nyquist criteria, controlled intersymbol interference. Digital modulation methods: ASK, FSK, PSK, MSK. Coding: short orientation about various coding methods.
