Aim:
The student should acquire knowledge on how companies can organise their environmental work. It is crucial to understand how environmental problems are transformed into environmental demands on companies from, for instance, their customers, authorities and owners. The students shall get an insight into the design and function of environmental management systems. The links between environmental management and marketing strategies are essential parts of the course.

Subjects included are: environmental work in enterprises, driving forces and organisation. Environmental policy, strategies and certification. Clean production and design for the environment. Environmental auditing, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Environmental Impact Assessment. Environmental perspective on Investment calculus. Environmental communication. Environmental law, economic control mechanisms and environmental economics. International environmental development.
