Aim:
The purpose of the course is to satisfy industry’s growing need for engineers with knowledge of the field of quality engineering. Upon completion of the course the student will be able to use the most common methods of quality and maintenance engineering product development and production, and will also have an active approach to the field of quality.

Prerequisites:
TNYT01 Mathematics.

Course organization:
Teaching is in the form of lectures, classes and laboratory exercises.

Course content:
ISO 9000: Customer focused planning, Design review, Trial planning, Seven QC tools, Life distributions, Failure mode and effect analysis, Fault tree analysis, Block diagrams, Efficiency studies, Failure mode effect analysis, Trial planning, Statistical process control, Accessibility, Permit supervision ,Total productive maintenance, Life cost analysis
