Aim:
To give the students familiarity with fundamental laws in classical mechanics and ability to apply these laws in practical problems.

Prerequisites:
Upper secondary school mathematics and physics (science or technology line).

Course organization:
Lectures and lessons.

Course content:
Statics: Forces (resultants, components), moment, center of mass, free-body diagram, equilibrium. Dynamics: Kinematics and kinetics of particles, kinetics of systems of particles, plane kinematics and kinetics of rigid bodies, mass moments of inertia, vibrations.
